Juan Carlos Robelo is a Nicaraguan artist who is in a constant search of different art techniques, his effort have succeeded in obtaining a unique language management in texture and color, dominating the abstraction as the surrealisms masterfully. His awesome work has been internationally recognized leading him to participate in prestigious galleries, as well as art fairs such as the Florence Biennale at Italy, Art Expo of New York, The Renowned Exhibition known as Beijing Collection, at China and the distinguished Broadway Gallery in New York, just to mention a few of them. We are more than sure he will continue this path this path of success within the art, considering his work as highly renowned.
The first thing that strikes in the paintings of Robelo, are the signs of his artistic language, as he calls: the hidden inhabitants, illuminated jungle, figures that have left far behind, the monotonous repetition of reality, to consider other proposals, where beings are no longer simple human profiles, but the signs of man, thanks characteristic of his great work is the reflection of a mystical land, inhabited by hidden beings between reality and fantasy, where these figures manipulate the dreams and memories in a infinite inner world, locked in the limited a linen fabric in composition and atmosphere created space becomes poetry drawn that has been able to capture the beauty of this mystical land lakes and volcanoes, obtaining a unique visual language, sometimes surreal, abstract at times, where different techniques used by the artist, fluctuate in the atmosphere, similar to that of the writer who instinctively choose the right word to better express the feeling obtaining a constant that is called poetic. It is an object of the absolutely subjective nature, which is enter the land of climates, of imponderables, atmospheres, at a time and place impregnate a time so it is perpetual, which I think creates the great theme of art: The subtle light in the darkness, drawing the branches of a forest disappearing into the fog, or in the pre-dawn in the great lake moment, are all examples of the captured in silence pictures, almost lost in the subconscious of one, but rescued in a stroke of fleeting brush which made its destination.
Robelo, therefore, remains the same, the painter, the artist wrapped in sign language to decipher the riddle of fantasy, with a significant dose of upgrade, always amazes in this unstoppable evolution of creativity.
