Berlin based, fashion photographer/visual artist ALFREDO ALBANESI began his career in fashion in the mid nineties in Manhattan, assisting influential fashion stylist at the time, in the likes of Vicky Bartlett for Steven Klein, and numerous other editors for David La Chappelle. etc.,
He explains, "As time progressed I realized it was important to maintain a steady professional stance regardless of the situation. I quickly began to build my portfolio whilst working as fashion coordinator for magazines still in news - stands today, such as BLACK BOOK, INTERVIEW, FLAUNT....
By 1999 I was already a working stylist.
Accelerate time to 2009 and he explains his transition to photograpy..."I moved to Berlin in 2006, pursuing the fact that I wanted to come back to Europe to live. NY had become completely uninspiring."
He tells us, "Something was already burgeoning inside me that I wanted to produce, execute and begin to shoot. But I was also aware that the industry would not accept that so easily."
An open door and a strike of luck came to him would have it, that a photographer could not execute a shoot and he was informed the night before at home with boxes of high end brands from Paris, London's and Milan's press offices....
"I rented a camera, contacted the light rental equipment, engaged a light technician, and contacted the model's agency, and said to myself I will style and I will shoot, I can do it....THE SHOW MUST GO ON
Accelerate time to 2013 and we present you with some stunning, cinematographical, and eye-catching images that go well ahead of the fashion curve, and into our gallery. We are anxiously waiting to see his first published printed book which will be released in October 2013.
