David Casademunt from Barcelona, Spain, studied at the Superior Barcelona School of Art – the Llotja – and has worked as a graphic designer and art director in prestigious publicity agencies including Ogilvy & Mather, DDB, and BBDO for clients such as Volkswagen, Audi, Hellmann´s and Laboratorios Salvat.
His current artistic expression lies in painting and sculpture. The principal concept of his work is based on volume, and for this reason his paintings are sculptural, entailing the use of materials such as virgin cellulose or aluminum. He has exhibited in Barcelona and Madrid, and recently in Milan ( Italy ) and Sofia ( Bulgaria ). As far as his sculptures are concerned, he is a master of steel and has a public work in Castelldefels ( Barcelona ). He has been awarded an Honorable Mention in the Sant Jordi Plastic Arts competition and has been selected by the Gabarron Foundation of New York.
Art, in his definition, is a dialogue of emotions.
