Biography
Marianela Holly (Manela) was born on 1972 in Cali, Colombia, where she became a Graphic Designer and a Professional Photographer. She studied at Bellas Artes in Cali, Colombia.
¨Manela¨ is the result of Marianela's search to combine traditional art with contemporary graphics, with the idea of preserving the art of the Renaissance combined with the style and textures of classical and pop art.
She deeply believes that art is directly associated to visual communication, and declares herself an enemy of the obvious, but an ally and proponent of the relevant and unexpected message. That is the reason why she created a series of contemporary artwork and photography, which communicates the way she conceives art and the world. All this is to develop high-concept, clear, and clean artwork, to deliver specific messages. Her artwork results from color impressions, great textures and acrylic paintings combined together.
Her philosophy is simply by nature: Simplicity Is Everything!
Each of her artwork has a reason to be, is a story, and makes part of Life!
