Roberto J. Valera born in Havana, Cuba came to the United States through the “Peter Pan” children’s program in 1961.
He is now a Cuban American artist residing in South Florida. He began his craft over twenty years ago capturing the unique flavor of South Florida through photography. In the last eight years Roberto has metamorphosed his photography into watercolor paintings, and is now known for his unique monochromatic watercolor nude series, his remarkable watercolor miniatures, and his new abstracts.
Roberto displays his works in Juried Fine Art Festivals throughout Florida in the winter and is currently displaying his new works in ArtFussion Gallery in Miami’s Design District.
