Erotic Charcoal Art by Monique, Monique’s art is all about showing, what she has found to be irresistible, to men and women alike. That the sensuality of the female body, is linked to a sizzling soul...
“Sensual female bodies...have since long been a favorite ?topic? for artists, perhaps because art lovers and buyers alike, love the tease... To Monique van Doorn, a Dutch artist, who currently lives in Barcelona, Spain, this fondness of the body of a sexy woman, turned out to be the catalyst that unleashed her talent. Each of her drawings is a testimonial, of the inner strength and outer beauty, of her female models. She craves the stimulation they trigger, in her mind and she wants to share this with everyone, through her drawings. Monique has been caught on many occasions saying, that her drawings are not art... She refers to the fact, that she doesn't make these drawings, with the thought that they should qualify for some prize or distinction. Instead, Monique derives her kicks from the reactions and the triggers of the viewer...” by Farah Ayoubi My inspiration comes mostly from intense conversations with confident, beautiful, sensual ladies. Whoever manages to stir my curiosity and spark my creative juices, may end up as flowing lines, coming out of my charcoal-blackened fingers... I feel empowered when the result entices people, draws them out and helps them explore their fantasies... It’s not about art, it’s about their reactions and the sheer pleasure of it, mine as well as yours.
I named my latest collection of charcoal paintings “Little Secret” . It’s a series of very sensual poses from local women, we see and meet them everywhere on a daily basis. They dared to explore their sensual side, but they have not yet fully exposed their identities. Hence, the models are a little secret... Only I know who they are, and I am not telling...
