Biography
Juliana was born in an artist home in which, since she was a child was able to communicate her feelings, emotions and ideas through the vision of the art world. During Juliana's childhood, she learned from great professors different kind of art theories and techniques that has been developed through the acquaintances and experience, imprinting this knowledge in each piece of art that is shown in this exhibition.
Juliana's work is the result of long hours of surveillance and scrutiny of the behavior of the people, and their costumes in an urban life context. Besides a great effort in the way of applying the developed technique, in which I express my life experiences and the ones of the people around me, since it is from them where the physical and emotional artwork supplies come from.
The supplies used for Juliana to do this work, is a variety of discarded used clothes from people that don't use it any longer, which is recycled to immortalized scenes from the ongoing life. Supplies that are rebuilt in a piece of art, that offers to the user functionality and style, that is not just decorative, is also to enjoy, use and appreciate. As a consequence of Juliana's fusion work you will find a dress that became a lamp, a pair of jeans as an occasional table, a shirt that change into a vase. All those pieces of art are a panorama of the common life of everyone, which makes that a lot of people would be definitely identify with Juliana's work.
