Lucia Filippi is a recent inhabitant of the art world; painting is her way of expressing her instinctive and intuitive passion for art, her love of the beautiful, of nature in all its colors. Lucia Filippi’ s search for new ways of expressing herself is visible and varies with each new painting, without being influenced by any predefined patterns.
Lucia Filippi lives art as a quest, expressing her true self in her paintings; her strong personality and her passion are the defining motifs of her work. The search is endless as are her experiments with new media and materials; such research is visible in her “Matter” paintings. From the minute strokes over white backgrounds of her earlier work, her effort has encompassed more elaborate creations, also thanks to the use of varied and unusual materials. The white purity of the backdrop never really abandons her work, progressively conceding more space to notes of color.
Lucia Filippi reaches a new turning point; an expanded color range and the highlighting of brilliant surfaces permeate her art. Her “light” paintings are born.
Lucia Filippi was born in Vicenza in 1972. Music is one of her deepest passions; she studied piano for over ten years.
She graduated in Economics at the Ca’ Foscari University of Venice. She is self-employed, working at her own job consultancy firm; she is also at the head of the Regional Entrepreneurs Association.
Her love for far-away countries and people takes her to the remotest corners of the world. Her travels influence her art providing endless inspiration, which she translates into colors, materials and sounds. Lucia Filippi loves living in historical Trieste and Palladian Vicenza.
