Sandra was born in Mexico. She has a major in Communication and a MD in Psychology. She always liked to paint, but she started to focus on expressing herself more during her twenties. It was then that she had discovered her passion.
Another of her passions is to travel, and you could say that she gets her inspiration from everywhere and everything. It could be the Casa Rosada in Argentina, the beautiful color of the sea in Cancun, the Murano stores in Venice, sunsets in Monterrey, a drive through England, the cathedral in Florence or a flea market in Chicago. A building, a person, something in nature, a piece of clothing, everywhere where you can find color or the absence of it will provide her with a theme to paint.
“I have been a teacher for a long time and what I have enjoyed the most is when children discover something by themselves, and to watch their faces when this occurs. I think the same thing happens to me when I paint. I find that I am liking what I am doing, even though sometimes I don’t know how the final piece will turn out..”
Through her paintings you can see that she enjoys experimenting with shapes, colors and materials.
“You will find that my paintings not always follow a style. I find so many beautiful things in the world, that I just have to use many colors, shapes and materials”.
