Biography
What 30 years ago started as an experiment has evolved becoming a real passion that allowed Manuel to earn international recognition.
A recognition that opened the door to exhibit his 14 pieces work titled “Light and Drama” at the Bird Road Art Walk in Miami, USA, a set of images showing how light and darkness can emphasize the drama and the beauty of our every day life.
In June of 2011 three of his photographs made it to the Short List of the first “Cannes Photography Contest”, called CannesAlso. Organized by Getty Images and Clear Channel, it was part of the Cannes Lions Advertising Festival, at the South of France. His pieces were exhibited at the Palais of the Festival.
Manuel also got a “Special Recognition Award” thanks to his work “Contrasts in Love” as part of the exhibition “All Photograph” from the Light Space & Time Gallery.
His work is also being recognized in Mexico, where he lived for almost seven years. He was recently invited to participate at the second “Art Room Talent Mexico”, an exhibition showcasing emerging art talents in the country.
Manuel was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina and after living in Mexico City he is now settled in Miami.
Artist Statement
“Within the fascination I have for details is that I allow myself to explore how different aspects of our everyday life can be highlighted, toned and why not, dramatized.
I always attempt to show elements that are usually overlooked in our daily routine and the permanent break that a picture generates helps us to explore, perceive and feel with more calm what we all have around us.
