Leonard Askowitz

My name is Dr. Leonard Askowitz. I was born in West Virginia, but moved to Miami, Florida when I was 16 years old. After finishing high school, my life centered around medicine for the next 45 years. First medical school, then a residency in Pediatrics and then 40 years in private practice. I retired 6 years ago and now reside in Miami, Florida with my wife, Johan and our dog Lucky. I have always loved photography, especially nature, portraiture and still life.

One day I was introduced to blacklight photography and was enchanted by the intense, brilliant, neon, glowing colors produced by ultraviolet light.I now have a large portfolio of my blacklight photos, including portraits, glassware and other miscellaneous subjects. I have found this media to be a great way to express my creativity.
