Joanne’s artistic pedigree has its foundations in her family’s traditional upholstery business. Her fathers business “Ridge Interiors” produces work for clients such as Elton John, Prince Charles and the Royal Family. Her creative ability was apparent at a young age and provided her with an ambition to pursue a career in fashion design. She followed this ambition at the University College for the Creative Arts, the U.K’s second leading Arts College. After graduating she worked for “Angels” the worlds largest costumiers based in London working with top designers and stars on films such as “Little women”, “Age of innocence”, “The English Patient”, “Titanic” and “Shakespeare in love”. Her love of period costumed married with fashion made her pursue a career in bridal wear, where she designed and made the wedding capes for Rachel Hunter when renewing her vowels to Rod Stuart as seen in top celebrity magazine “Hello”. This was to inspire her artistic desire, enhance her creativity and establishing her own Couture bridal design business in London in her mid twenties. Designing and making bespoke wedding dresses for the elite clientele. She had her collections shown in London bridal shows and her gowns were taken to Paris to be photographed for editorials in top London bridal magazines.
