The primary goal of an artist is to be able to perceive a core or essence in the material world and somehow convey this in her art. In this way the object or concept is revealed in a unique manner since its inner content was previously obscured by secondary things .

My abstract work of oil on canvas reflects a passionate interest in my Jewish heritage, and the Hebrew letters have intrinsic spiritual meaning. According to the Kabbalah, all of Creation was formed with the 22 building blocks of the Hebrew alphabet. These powerhouses of energy emanate to our physical realm in different ways and amounts to animate all life. The Hebrew word for an object or idea is actually its energy source. I combine letters and words with painterly images to convey a concept or idea. Success for me comes when a painting can, in some way, uplift or inspire.
