Born in 1968 in Manresa (Barcelona Spain), daughter to second generation Florists and Gardeners. Her mother was convinced that their profession is intimately linked to Art and so from a very early age she took her daughter to a Fine Art School. Without realising, the seed of painting had been planted.
When Guarro finished her secondary studies at the Polytechnic Institute of Design in Barcelona she took over the family business, adding a new style and opening new spaces to floral decoration, at the same time as she graduates from the School of Floral Art of Catalonia.
Floral art is ephemeral and so during this period more and more the seed of painting was growing within her. She felt an increasing need to realise her extreme sensitivity and began painting to eternalise her art. In 2003, almost without wishing it she was given a commission by the Cultural Association of Rajadell to create paintings for the large wall space in their main hall. Seeing the success obtained and encouraged by friends she decided to continue painting works by commission, taking advantage of her business contacts. She continues decorating spaces for her clients, this time adding her own paintings which play to the character of the buyer within their most intimate surroundings, searching for the connecting link between painting-client.
As well as working by commission she decided to take up the challenge and has created a permanent exhibition of her work in her own business. Restaurants and Social Institutions began to take an interest, creating temporary exhibitions of her work in their establishments, seduced by the strength and expressivity of the paintings, born of the treatment Guarro achieves through the range of colours in her art.
