STATEMENT:
Being an artist; to me, it means, having the need to create and the freedom to express my feelings through color, shapes and images. At the beginning, it was the feminine figure and my passion has gone from the beauty that is in the most complicated object to the simplest one. Like a Brown Bag.
Life is about moments; I believe in living each moment of your life in full and absorb with your senses everything that surrounds you. Each moment regardless of how small, possess the seed of eternity within. My paintings are about life and those precious moments.
The changing light of the day and moods it creates around the central figure is the foundation of my paintings.
Sometimes, those moments are charged with an enduring beauty and emotional intensity.
I use oil paintings, just because they are flexible and they allow make changes during the process of painting. I find oil paintings as flexible and malleable as life itself.
My goal is to share those timeless moments where serenity, peace, love and beauty are the witness of the unmistakable presence of the almighty.
The greatest reward, for me, is to share those moments where the beauty of the simplest object arises with an unusual splendor and meaning. Many artists have their greatest creative moments when there are going through rough times in life, my best inspiration is when joy meets serenity and the exhilaration that I derive from those mini-moments.
