Daisy Papp is a German born artist of Hungarian descent. Her journey as a singer, songwriter, poet and conceptual artist began at an early age while growing up in Hechingen, Germany. After the tragic loss of her father and grandparents to a fatal car crash, 8 year old Daisy turned to music as a way to escape her sadness. She began playing the piano and writing songs as a way to express the emotional trauma she had endured. As she attended boarding school at the distinguished Schule Schloss Salem, she began to study different arts and crafts as well as learning to play the Organ.
After graduation, Daisy decided to move to Hungary with an aspiration to learn her father's native tongue. While living there, she continued her long time pursuit of Dressage Horseback Riding and was trained by the National Champion of Hungary, Gyula Dallos. Daisy became determined to one day participate in the Olympic Games.
However, at the age of 17, another series of unfortunate events would derail Daisy from her Olympic dream. Her mother, brother and godfather died in a plane crash while traveling in Switzerland.
This forced Daisy to break away from her studies in Hungary and move back to Germany, where she ended up attending and graduating from Business School.
A few years later, Daisy married and had a son. Soon after, she separated from her husband and went on to raise her son on her own.
Daisy continued to dabble in song writing and different areas of art, always keeping in the back of her mind her mother's last words of how she would "hang the family business on a nail one day." Little did she know, she would eventually become the "nail." This inspired her to begin working with nails as a form of art, giving the sentence true meaning. While experimenting with this new creative process, Daisy also developed an interest in studying Psychotherapy, NLP, Astrology, Numerology and TFT in an effort to gain a better spiritual understanding of her life experiences.
During the past 10 years, Daisy has performed at numerous events in Germany. In 2004, she signed a contract with EMI Hungary which led to the release of her first album entitled "Angel Harmonies." It is a unique ensemble of classics meets poetry. Meaningful, deep lyrics along with Daisy's enchanting sounds from her piano make this album a true expression of her feelings.
Daisy currently resides in Miami and continues her craft of exclusive art and music, through which she hopes to encourage and inspire people that "there is always an option to turn bad things into something beautiful." She is a survivor who chose to overcome life's challenges and makes it a point to never give up!
Her newest work, which combines nail art with song lyrics is entitled "Listen to my Art." It's an intimate collection of art accompanied by songs with the lyrics handwritten on the canvas.
Daisy's personality is reflected in everything she does, her many talents will truly touch your soul.
