After graduating in economy, Bruno Gianesi entered into the world of fashion, in order to express his creativity and natural talent as a drawer. In 1984 he was appointed as fashion designer to Mr. Giani Versace. Soon his resposibilities grew and he became chief designer and responsible for theatre projects, designing and following the realization of costumes. During this period of artistic association between Versace and the theatre , Bruno collaborated with eminent choreographers and directors such as Maurice Bejart, Roland Petit, William Forsythe and Bob Wilson.
He took part in theatre projects and designed the costumes for ballets and operas as “Pyramid”, “Salome”, “Don Pasquale” and “Doktor Faustus”…..
His drawings are published on the international press and on art books as “Versace Teatro I and II. Franco Maria Ricci ed.; some of his drawings have been included in the catalogue of the famous auction house Sothebys. After an exciting career in fashion and theatre, Bruno Gianesi continued his artistic journey, taking a more deep direction, moving from the sight of the external world to his own interiority, to his micro-cosmos through painting.
