Alex Achaval

My name is Alex Achaval I was born in Spokane, WA in 1986 and grew up in Ellensburg, WA just an hour and a half from Seattle. My nationality is Native American and Basque and i think that definetly has a big influence on my artistic ability. I've always had an interest in Art, when I was a child, I used to sit down and basically play on paper. I would create a whole world with a pencil. As I grew up I didn't really take it very serious until one day I actually sat down and took my time with a portrait. I started doing more pencil portraits with lots of encouragement from Family and friends.

My most recent paintings show the beauty of taking something simple and something complex and mixing them together. I love to paint messy with a knife and little concentration but I also love to paint with detail and control depending on the mood. Soon I hope to get my foot in the door, become well known and explode in the world of art.
