One of the most important reasons of my artist work is the need to reflect my feelings like a Cuban woman and experiences with a chronological- spiritual character about my past, present and future.
In this scenery I show reconciliation, nostalgias, religion beliefs, memories, like pieces that are assembled within a puzzle.
I create many compositions, recreated in family pictures, appropriations of passages of the Art History that are uncontextualized to the reality. I deal with identity and migration themes to represent my today’s conflicts. Sometimes I use humor and sadness images like a “Cuban Ajiaco”.
I take the oil paintings, charcoal drawing, collage, mixed media and the Cutout.
In this long road appear answers to questions such as: What I am looking at, where I am now and how can I get to achieve it?
My work is an autobiographic reflection of my life.
