poco a poco va introduciéndose en el mundo de la pintura haciendo portadas, experimenta con diversas técnicas, hasta situarse cómodamente con la pintura al óleo. De aquí descubre a los grandes maestros de la pintura, Michelangelo, Da Vinci, Caravaggio, Vermeer y otros. Pero con quién más se siente identificado, ya sea por la obra en sí, como por los años que le toca convivir, es Salvador Dalí. Estudia la obra mística de Dalí como aprendizaje hasta que decide crear sus propias composiciones. Finalmente evoluciona como buen pintor, hasta encontrar un espacio propio y característico. Las primeras etapas de Riera son totalmente surrealistas. Posteriormente trabaja la figura, sobre todo la belleza de la mujer desnuda. Día tras día incorpora a sus pinturas un color propio e intenta definir su estilo. En definitiva podemos definir la obra de Riera como a realista con toques de hiper-realismo, y con un extenso abanico de temas pictóricos. Como dice el propio artista "Soy creador de ilusiones, y estoy abierto a cualquier tema. Me siento más atado a los artistas del Renacimiento que a los de ahora. Todo se puede pintar. Eso se el arte."
Is born in Barcelona in August of 1963, self-taught artist takes the initiative with the drawing from cómics, little by little it is introduced in the carried world of the painting doing, experiments with diverse techniques, until being placed comfortably with the oil painting. The first stages of Riera laugh are totally surrealistic. Later the figure works, mainly the beauty of the naked woman. Day after day incorporates to its paintings an own color and tries to define its style. We really can define the work of Riera laugh as to realist with I touch of hiper-realism, and with an extensive fan of pictorial subjects. As it says to the own artist " I am creative of illusions, and I am open to any subject. I feel like more tied the artists of the Renaissance that to those of now. Everything can be painted. That arte."
