Statement
My current artwork is made from brightly colored, carefully selected, exotic fabrics. Many of the fabrics used are hand-dyed by me. I also manipulate my photography and paintings using computer generated design techniques and transfer these to my fabric. This process allows me to explore color, design, and pattern with the latest computer art software in interesting and creative ways. Each artwork is hand pieced and incorporates the appliqué and machine stitched process.
The subject matter is generally surrealistic including architectural places that depict the real and imagined. They also can be completely non-objective resembling Mandela-like designs.

My work has continued to develop into a combination of media that I have picked up on through out the years. I continue to incorporate my weaving background as well as to incorporate my computer generated designed fabrics into my final designs.

Clay is also a natural progression for me as my mother was a potter and was very influential in my early years. Some of my work juxtaposes the art of clay and tile work into my fiber art.
