Samantha prefers other’s to have their own interpretation saying “…the less rhetoric the better…” Her professional portfolio began in 2007 and has a studio in Tampa Florida. Art is her soapbox, an expression of her taste, décor, and humor. Although she has tried to enter different fields on and off in her life she has had to do art not knowing why but just having to do it.
Earning her BFA in Sculpture at Maine College of Art, really drove her away from the accepted collegiate principles. She chose wire sculpture originally as a rebellious move away from the traditional materials. However working with the medium gives her great joy, the bending, twisting and forming.
Samantha appreciates and loves the 30’s, 40’s, and 80’s Deco movements, Art Nouveau and Pop Art combining these into an amalgamation of her own paintings. Favorite influences are Toulouse-Lautrec, Tamara De Lempicka, Mucha, and Warhol.
