Arminda is a painter, illustrator, and graphic designer from northern Argentina. From her early years she consistently showed to be a very creative individual with a great visual sensibility. At six she started taking painting lessons with her aunt who is a multiple award-winning painter in Argentina. At the age of 17 she moved to Buenos Aires to study Arts at the internationally recognized University of Buenos Aires and earned her degree of Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design in 1996. She has also taken Pre-Colombian Art, Photography and Literature courses. She lived in Brazil for some years and has also traveled to France, Italy, Egypt, Israel, Venezuela, Colombia, Paraguay, Uruguay and Mexico on many occasions. In these trips she visited museums and galleries. and she lived enriching experiences that nurtured her and her art. When she moved to the United States five years ago she felt a strong connection with Florida’s natural beauty and its similarities with her hometown tropical weather. Inspired by nature starts “Caracol Series”; this group of paintings is happy, fresh and whimsical and is her tribute to mother nature. She is an active member of Artists of Palm Beach County and the Artist Guild of Boca Raton Museum of Art.

Maria Arminda Palacio is an Argentinian American artist based in Palm Beach, Florida. Born and raised in Northern Argentina, she studied Art and Design at the University of Buenos Aires and graduated in Graphic Design in 1996.
Her whimsical style makes her artwork joyful and fun. In her paintings, you enter a world of creatures, at rest and at play, dwelling in perfect harmony.
As part of her creative process, she starts sketching on her iPad and loves to work on canvas, wood and paper. Her work is characterized by the dynamism and flow of her lines.
Her studio is currently located in a quiet area by the beach in Palm Beach as Florida’s natural landscape and warm weather continues to be an essential source of her energy and inspiration.
