The Island of the Dominican Republic is one of the most beautiful and interesting islands in the Caribbean, and is overflowing with artistic talent. Growing up in this beautiful place made Luis Tonos appreciate the wonderful talents inherent in the island’s artists. Dominican art is fascinating to behold and has the capacity to catch the eye of any personality.
After enduring severe burn injuries from a terrible accident in the Dominican Republic, and being treated in the United States, Luis was unable to visit his homeland for quite some time. When he finally was healthy enough to return home, he started understanding and appreciating the work of the talented Dominican artists. It was at that moment he realized his desire to share these unknown talents and artworks with the rest of the world.
