Mr. Julio Herrera is a self taught artist born in Havana, Cuba in the early 50’s.
He arrived to the United States at the age of nine in 1961. His artistic stepping stones were first planted in Miami where later he would graduate from Miami Dade North Community College in 1977 with an associate in arts.
Mr. Herrera’s works are some what based upon personal dreams, thoughts, experiences, and or mere reflections of his life and times.
Some of his works are linear designs in color compositions yet in another style you will discover a variety of expressive faces with a touch of Avant Garde Noir surrealism and others combining erotic situations in nature through haunting vivid colors.
Some of his works are currently being held in private collections between Miami, Puerto Rico and Costa Rica.
