Jorge Eduardo Villa Castillo. April, 1967. Born in Bogota, Colombia, he belongs to a very well known artist family, because of this; it was completely natural for him to start painting and working with metals since he was very young. He studied in several private arts academies in Quito-Ecuador, the country which he migrated when he was four years old. He is an outstanding draftsman and painter, who also works in the field of sculpturing. His constant and disciplined work has allowed him to embrace numerous aesthetic proposals, to travel among the complexity of forms, color and different techniques, to finally offer us a depurated a generous art. J. Villa is a self-taught and very versatile artist. |
