Statement for Abstract Paintings
My abstract paintings represent my artistic struggle to balance clarity and discipline while allowing my unconscious to escape through accidents. I welcome accidents in my work. My painting changes often because I am always searching for a way to express myself. When I don’t paint, I become depressed, gloomy, because is all for me. Everything inspires me. When I listen to music I see colors and when I look at colors I hear music. I have magical conversations with objects, with their light and colors, and objects are transformed into my abstractions. My goal is to infuse mystery in my work by creating forms that influence each other through their rhythmic movement that results in a poem of color, a simple alphabet. I hope my work fives the viewer a moment to pause and meditate.
