A Personal Statement
I have been painting all of my life.
Having spent a lifetime studying the
subject matter and style of the great masters, I am not constrained by their
limitations. My paintings express the strivings of the spirit, the intricacies
of the soul. Intuitive, descriptive, sometimes lyrical, they bring form to the
formless world of the psyche populated by archetypes and dreams.
A work of art does not stand alone. It needs the viewer to complete it.
Having exhibited in one-man shows in the US and Europe, I found the
atmosphere detached and chose to show my work in private in an
ambiance in which the collector can study the works of art at his/her
leisure and segue into a relationship with the paintings with no distractions.
My purpose is to share my lifelong search for the highest truths and when
the viewer discovers a mirror image of the spirit in my art, then my aim,
and the purpose of my art has been achieved.
