Miriam Costanza was born in Mendoza, Argentina. She now resides in Miami, Fl since 1991. Ever since she was a child, Mrs. Costanza has been inspired by the remarkable beauty of the world and has incorporated that beauty as she sees it on the canvas. Starting at the age of 6, she began setting her modest mind on what she liked and rapidly discovered that painting was her passion and devotion. At the age of 20, using the Naïf technique, she started painting professionally and depicting the world and everything that happened around her with a simple stroke of a brush on a canvas. With the birth of each of her daughters, her ideas of nature and life slowly altered, making each new painting a visual biography of her feelings and emotions. In the year 1991, she moved to Miami making her perspective of things completely change, demonstrating a more serious depiction of her feelings. She tilted to a more solemn idea using more ochre and darker colors and started to express her affection towards nature in a completely different standpoint. While still painting Naïf, she gradually started to incorporate her beliefs, emotions, ideas, and judgment into landscape paintings of all dimensions. Now, living in the 21st century and with all the changes it has overtaken, she has slowly started to incorporate and merge what we know as the surreal technique with her original technique of Naïf painting, resulting in the production of her latest series of paintings.
