Lenardo Salvatori was born in Petrolina, in the Brazilian state of Pernambuco. However, he only started studying art in Rio de Janeiro, at the School of Arts and Crafts and at the Parque Lage Art School in the late 1960s. He had prestigious masters in different countries and in different areas: He studied color with Professor Risolette Cravan in France, anatomy with Professor Antonio Garbonelli in Italy, and tile-making with Professor Udo Knof in Brazil.
His first exhibition was in 1972. Since then, he has been developing a plural career in several fields: art, set designing, advertising, industrial design, fashion design, interior design, and architecture.
At the moment, he dedicates himself exclusively to interior design and to the plastic arts. After innumerable collective and individual exhibitions, Mr. Salvatori’s works are part of private collections in Brazil and in various countries, such as Portugal, Germany, and Italy. In Recife, his works are exclusively exhibited at Tenda Gallery and traded by the art dealer Cosme Cavalcanti Ramos.
The recurring theme is the human figure, in which the figurative is revealed in a sensuous and elegant graphic on an abstract painting basis.
