Hanz Ramírez Gonzalez was born in Bogotá, Colombia in 1966. He studied Liberal Arts at the Universidad Central de Colombia and concentrated in Textile and Graphic Design. He was a Professor of Advertising at UNITEC College in Bogotá and worked for different Advertising Agencies over the years. Since Hanz moved to Miami over 5 years ago, he has been exploring his passion for painting and has become an accomplished muralist and faux finisher.
His work is the expression of his experiences as an inmigrant, his desires, pleasures, fears, and hopes of every day. It is a composition of textures, forms, resins: a collage of rich colors a Magical Surrealism.
Through the years he has admire and has being influence by artist such Salvador Dali, Manzzur, Obregon, Magritte, Jose Maria Mijares, among others..
His exhibitions include: Galería La Paleta, Galería Villegas in Bogotá, Allison Gallery, Hotel Intercontinental, Colombian Consulate, Ibiza Café & Art Robb & Stucky in Boca Ratón, FAB Fest, El Dorado Gallery Nights, (Solo)Brickell Square, AM Trust Bank Art Exibition, Shows such as : Las Olas Art Festival, Key Biscayne Art Festival, Weston Art Festival, Merrick Park Art Festival among Others…and all with success.
