Born in Bogota, Colombia in 1971. She got her Master in Plastic Artsat the Andes University in 1995 and lives in Miami since 2001.
The symbols tell histories, materialize words and feelings. Colors imprint the light in a sensual surface that vibrates. These are basic,primary colors, that express the wealth of the world that surroundsthem and that are investigated by themselves. The heat transformseach object, changes the light and its reflection. The immense sea is the universe, each wave an eternal moment.
From an argument, it develops a series of ideas that evoke,remember, revive, reinvent their own histories and places. It is not a nostalgic creation but a recreation that is born of the memory, ofthe perception of the tracks that the time and the place leave in her.
The technique more than ever is a tool that allows to play with thecolor, the engravings and the acrylics, all is a mestization thatexpresses personality, that allows interpretation, translation andto decipher what was in the origin. The painting does not have to be flat. On the contrary, takes force and it is satisfied in materiality,in volume, on proposal.
With regal composition, there is chromatic rate and graphical text. One complete musical influence in each work is perceived.
It is a personal and intimate art work: the spectator can enter andlook around and does not need an explanation, nor is forced to understand something that goes beyond what he feels. The bold,dearing, sincere girl is present and without prejudices that doesnot fear the brush, the color, the canvas. The art work expressesher essence without timidity.
