Rosendo Perez Pinacho

Rosendo Pérez Pinacho was born in the municipality of Candelaria Loxicha, Oaxaca. He studied at the School of Fine Arts in Oaxaca, México, under the tutelage of Shinzaburo Takeda.
Rosendo has found his visual references in the work of Mexican and European artists, and has studied them at great length during museums visits and trips abroad. His thematic focus, has been his land, customs, and legends – topics that have significant weight in characteristic images that bind man to nature and animals. Rosendo adds memories of his childhood games and outings, concerns and existential reflections, along with organic elements and personal symbolism. His arguments are presented with balance. Pérez Pinacho has participated in collective and individual exhibitions at important museums and galleries in Mexico and abroad.
