Paint has an agenda and wants to enforce its will upon whatever it is applied to. It aspires to move, contain, reveal, capture. It wants to live. Painters also have an agenda, but no matter how much we study, plan or sketch we must eventually deal with the will of the medium. Sometimes this is an amicable process and, at other times, a more arduous one. But there are always some signs of conflict.
?The result is a compromise, not completely dissimilar from the the compromises that humans make with one another everyday. We frequently find ourselves in situations not of our choosing and in relationships with which me may or may not be complicit. We also compromise ourselves and in so doing become our own evidence of a struggle. ??Douglas LeMond Jordan??Born and raised in Kansas.?Started painting at Pepperdine University (BA).?Art Director at KAKE-TV in Wichita, KS for seven years.?Moved to Miami latter half of 2003.
