About Susanne Persson
The artist often sign paintings as SussiQPersson. She was born In Stockholm Sweden 1964. Her grandmother on her mothers' side was a very good painter. On her fathers' side there was also painters and musicians. Susanne(SussiQ)is self taught painter.
From the beginning as a Little Child she was always drawing and sketching.
When she grew up, about 17 years of age she started to do portraits and still do so today. Mostly drawing with aqua pencils but did start again with oil color about 2012 and found out that she liked that too. Her style is realistic and detailed. Susanne has been drawing and painting mostly because it's fun, and has been selling her artwork to friends.
She loves music, so often she is painting singers she listen to, but also other people. Now she wants to spend more time drawing and painting, reaching out. She has been in a competition this year for the first time; The American Art Awards. The sepia drawing is Patrick Swayze made of oil paint on canvas board. The other pirate style is Singer P.J.Proby from the 60's Oil painting on canvas.
Artist Statement
"My genre is portraits realistic style and also animals.
I use Aqua pencils or Oil colors. I always searching for the soul in a portrait...I paint from photos and very often I have 2 or 3 different pictures so I can catch the personality and not just paint a copy of a photo...
I have no special artist I am influenced by. I can get ideas when i read about some artists and looking at their paintings."
