About Rosa Cruz Rosa Cruz is a Puerto Rican artist that works with acrylic, watercolor, Chinese ink and charcoal on paper or tile. Rosa holds a B.A in Art History from the University of Puerto Rico; additionally, she has participated in numerous art classes at the University of Fine Arts and Plastic in San Juan. Rosa holds an art certification from Spain University as well as a Juris Doctor from the InterAmerican University of Puerto Rico. During the start of her career, her works have been exhibited in the Museum of Americas, many Art Festivals, and Collective Exhibitions throughout the United States, Mexico, and Spain. Rosa is also a featured artist in the book 100 Contemporary Artists of the European Communities.
Artist Statement Starting at a young age I created various head representations. Throughout the transgression of time, head representations became of utmost importance due to the formation of skin cancer detected on my scalp. At once, my art became the medium that alleviated my pain as well as becoming the path towards healing via visualization of a healthy state. My art is a technique which I utilize as a power of attraction to a state of health and well-being. The creative influence flourishes from my inner core in my desire to be submerged in good health. Art provides me the positive inner energy in order to transform the world that surrounds me with everlasting beauty.
