About Nicole Coudray

Nicole Coudray was born in 1968 in Vétroz (Valais) Switzerland.

She’s a self-taught artist and has always been a person with great intuitiveness, to the point of being a practicing medium. She began to make encaustic wax and oil painting paintings in an original style. She also created and illustrated two sets of cards named „The Tarot of the Soul’s Journey“ and „The Doors to Inner Dimensions“.

Her preferred themes deal with connecting different worlds to allow us to travel to other dimensions. Her paintings, portraying intense brilliant colors, enable us to escape reality and experience the balance in our interior self.

Artist’s Statement

"Each work is unique because it’s inspired by the moment. The vibration of colors and their application canvas are done intuitively. My thoughts are left aside. I listen to my feelings...

My paintings are the portal to different worlds that have no limits and I invite the audience to travel there and discover how they feel...

What is important for me is to share serenity, emotion and to touch the audience’s soul. Many of my paintings are titled « Openness“, “Light“, “Healing“, because that is really what they are for me. Life continues even after our physical death and I wanted to bring a message of immortality of the soul in my paintings...

Dare to dream, dare to live, dare to be and not appear. In the simplicity of what is and what will be. It is in this spirit that I create."
