“Art is not what you see, but what you make others see.” Edgar Degas
I began painting in early two thousand and one. Throughout the years I have studied, explored, and applied techniques from all styles and mediums within the art world. Through the understanding and appreciation of the colors used to portray the beauty of each painting, the viewer can lose themselves within the stories of which each painting is telling. Ever so becoming transfixed by the emotions through each image applied by each stroke of the brush.
With that said, I have found the most exhilarating form of painting to be plain aire. To be thrust within your work as life moves around you with the many chattering people and the ever changing seasons is an experience I would hope all artists would want to experience. It is a true test of ones own talents. And you will find, in many ways, who you are as an artist by setting yourself within these vulnerable places for all the world around you to see.
By continuing to paint each day I hope to achieve more recognition and the opportunity for my paintings to reach a national as well as international audience. Hopefully within the years to come I will find myself spending more days and nights working within my studio and exhibiting more solo and mixed media shows.
