Tita Hernandez

Tita Hernandez and the path to happiness:

"From a very young art it has been my companion. Never took dictation in school, the better I started to scratch the notebooks. It was stronger than me. My hands were always eager to take a pencil colors to let me translate what flowed in my imagination. As an adult I worked in an office, and also there was always drawing in notebooks what occurred to me at that moment: mountains, landscapes, whatever. For me painting it is a means, a way to convey emotions." With these words I received Tita Hernandez in her studio, as if trying to convince her artistic vocation. No need, just look at the work at this time is around me to confirm that the paint is what gives meaning to much of her life.

Its' history has always meant swimming against, insisting her vocation despite outside opinions. Develop self-taught but with a deep eagerness to explore materials, techniques. The challenge is motivated. With persistence, and the quality of her work it was as got a invitation to the latest Latin American Art Festival, San Diego, California. Highlight of her career, from which it is determined to explore new territory. Tita recently joined Art Fusion Galleries (Miami, Florida) at the invitation of its Director, William Braemer.

Tita Hernandez avoids classifications. Her playful voice, seeming innocence, has created a wide range of thematic universe inhabited by fluffy trees, nostalgia rain, playful cats, bright balloons and elegant polar bears, but also by traditional Mexican toys, in particular by a sleepers Marias * able to transform himself into irreverent homage to universal art. Images that are developing in the dream world and mingle with stories lived by the artist, with their own stories that arouse recollections on its viewers, who manage to identify natural, organic form. The Tita Hernandez is a personal iconography that is introduced into the roots of the collective unconscious, hence their effectiveness. It is a fresh look of deepest reaches.

In conversation with Tita Hernández color is always present, Tita speaks in colors, and the color is what gives meaning and identity to her body of work. This same passion that emerges in her words is what is reflected in her paintings of colorful intense. Color reflecting a live Mexico, but without looking folklorist. Her work deals with universal themes with a Latino twist. Hernandez is not afraid of contrast or textures offered by the oil, as an alchemist catches the light that filters through the window. There in her certainty that happiness dwells in color. It is an indisputable fact that the work of Tita Hernandez is possessed of a profound joy."
